That's what poker is all about. The finished hand has to equal the sum of the parts, in this case it didn't add up, and you picked up on that. Experienced players know how to bluff and when to bluff, and when things don't add up. That's why you can't play with scared money, you need to be able to make that call and not think about the fact that it's a lot of money to be calling with second pair. It's hard to do, but that's what winning players do. When you are wrong, it hurts, but your read was right on.

And, it is not normal to be charged a full month unless you dragged your feet for some reason and didn't move in right away. I don't know if it's illegal, but I would be pretty adamant with them to prorate it for the number of days. Your lease should have the move-in and move-out dates. If you can afford it, offer them the second month in advance as a good will gesture, so you are working with them, that may make it easier.

Hey thanks for the great advice and feedback. I am trying to avoid folding potentially winning hands as much, while at the same time staying away from most marginal EV situations.

I am meeting with my landlord today, so I will offer that option to her. I definitely appreciate your suggestion, as no one is sure whats standard that I have asked so far

Haha yes. Most people type the Ten out if theyre posting hand histories online, but I like using the T.

Wow. Didn't think it was the norm, but I haven't heard much from my friends. Its good to have all this insight from you. I will see if the payments will be starting on the 10th of each month (maybe thats the reason why). She does work for an office of that type, coincidentally, so maybe thats what is going on in that regards. Thanks
