I thought I would be among the majority who didn't like dair but not because Chuck and Blair have great chemistry or look great together. (Season one they were cute but after that no). Her dating Dan was out of my comfort zone. With Chair; the relationship is based on physical attraction, schemes, and games. Without those, there's nothing. I was so used to them being together, breaking up, being together. Seeing Blair with the no.#1 guy she hated was weird. But as you watch Dair's relationship develop you see a different side to Blair that we never get to see. She is sweet, goofy and so bright. Through the crap Chuck put Blair through, it was good to see her in a healthy relationship where she was with someone that she have something in common with. But of course GG writers has to ruin every relationship that occur and with season six I think the writers cared too much what the fan base want and made the characters go back to their high school days. Forgetting all the progress they made and let the show crash and burn. Blair suddenly ( ... )

I admittedly only started watching for Dan/Blair after becoming aware of their season 4 friendship and generally amazing screwball rom-com antics through my f-list/tumblr, and even then only followed The Dan n' Blair show on youtube. Then I started watching some current eps in S5, and then eventually went back and did a re-watch from the beginning. Despite my obvious Dan/Blair bias, I was intriuged by Chuck/Blair in the first half of season 1, but quickly became dis-intruiged and grossed out by Chuck's increasingly repellent behavior towards Blair (and others) and annoyed by the show's determination to woobify and make him the hero of the series while still having him commit often-times horrendous acts and displaying misogynistic attitudes. I find it both hilarious and mind-boggling that the show continues to pimp Chuck/Blair as it's OTP when the dynamic is so far beyond the point of functional. I get that the writers want them to be tragic and epic (MASSIVE EYEROLL), but they must be completely oblivious as to how tragically messed ( ... )

But this is gossip girl, and the writers will always go for the worst scenario imaginable - so the finale will be 100% what you expect and what the spoiler pics indicate (i.e.horrible chairytale). The best way to prepare yourself for the show is to imagine the worst thing possible and then times it by ten.

I'm having ALL THE FEELINGS about The Hour. My love for Freddie/Bel knows no bounds. Mostly because I stan Freddie like the sassy bitch he is. Also I love Romola Garai.

YOU'RE ALIIIIIIIIIVE! (remind me of who you are on Tumblr again if applicable I'm so terrible at keeping track of these things).

SEASON OF NICK MILLER! PRINCE AMONG MEN! INTERNATIONAL TREASURE!

Oh but Winston! I wish you had a more substantial narrative! Because, truth, every single aside Winston gets is magic.

THE LIZZIE BENNET DIARIES IS MY LIFEBLOOD RIGHT NOW. I'm just... so enamoured with how they're using the format to compliment the story! There was a huge danger in them telling and not showing, but they've circumvented that so nicely. And the vlog format really, really works well at portraying Lizzie's unreliable narration - Lizzie's prejudice and being not as perceptive as she thinks she is is such a huge part of her growth arc that it's lovely to see this adaptation take it into major consideration. ALSO THE PEMBERLEY ACT IS COMING UP LET ME DIE. Like. Googly eyes are coming. They are going to happen. Lizzie falling in love with Darcy is going to be in our eyeballs.

I know! I should have intro'd this post with something like "Hey I'm not dead! And apparently still have my lj!" I haven't really been active on tumblr, but I did finally reblog a few things recently (my handle is piehoez).

NICK MILLER. Terrible zombie-novel author. Turner of lemonade into lemons. Crotchety old man at age 8. Light of my life! And Winston - I'm so happy he's been allowed to be more in on the action the last couple of eps, because when they actually incorporate him into the show and it's main plot, he automatically becomes better (BEGONE HONKY!)

OMG LIZZIE BENNET DIARIES. Did not realize I had been missing anything in my life before this, but then started watching and realized how empty my life truly was. HOW DOES THIS EXIST???? Hearts in my eyes allllll the time. I'm super stoked for Pemberley to happen because return of robot/newsie/agoraphobic lobster!Darcy!!! and hilarious slash awkward slash AMAZING Darcy/Lizzie interaction!! And I hope we get lots more Fitz during this arc, BECAUSE I LOVE HIM LOTS.
