Personality:

An expert at science and mechanics. An IQ of 300. Extremely fat obese, and an obsessive desire to rule the universe. All of these things describe one Dr. Ivo Robotnik, teasingly referred to as 'Dr. Eggman' by Sonic and his friends. He is arrogant, self-centered and over-confident. None of these, however, take into account how many times he has tried to take over the world, and successively failed each and every time, to the point of sometimes having to team up with Sonic to clean up his own messes ( ... )

BackstoryAs a child, Dr. Ivo Robotnik always looked up to his grandfather, Gerald Robotnik. He saw the great things he could do; and wished he could do them too! He aspired to be just like his grandfather, and once he was able to actually build things, he began working on 'animal-powered robots', robots that were run by animals powering them ( ... )

Eventually, he found Shadow, his grandfather's secret project that got him labeled as insane, and tried to get the emeralds again to use the Eclipse Cannon to conquer the world (although it looked like he would rather destroy it and rebuild it as Eggmanland). Once again, things went awry when he got all seven emeralds, and the heroes and villains had to work together to stop the ARK from crashing into Earth. It was then that Robotnik realized his grandfather really was a little insane - but that didn't stop him from still wanting revenge on that hedgehog ( ... )

I'm glad we finally have a character who will be more antagonistic and cause some trouble 'round here. It'll spice things up!
