Well, you could have knocked something loose and it's gotten progressively looser over the months, dear. D: If it's not under warranty, perhaps someone who is comfy with doing so could pop it open and look to see that all your connections are okay? You also could have killed a fan, and the case is overheating, which would cause the CPU to freeze over time.

Worst case scenario would be that you've knocked a moving part inside the hard drive loose and it's progressively getting worse, but even then, you'd only need to replace the hard drive! (Not hard, even in laptops.)

Though I'd suggest backing up and running a full virus scan with updated definitions and maybe running a couple of malware killers just to be certain that it's not software related first. /techie~. :3

i'm pretty sure it's that something's loose. :O there's this audible rattling/scraping sound when it freezes... 8DD; *fail* just bought an external hd though, so i can back stuff up before taking it apart. xD;; (there... isn't a visible way to take apart the whole case. i've gotten at the ram before, but further than that... the screws and stuff are hidden or something. xD but i am sure there will be a tutorial on youtube. ♥ eeeesh~ i'll check the fan too, while i'm at it. 8D; thank you for the tips! :D :D ♥)
