First day back and already Sugar has cost me close to $250. She developed an abscess yesterday, so I took her to the vet this morning. Couldn't take her to the less expensive ones because they're closed Sunday and I was worried she was in pain and wanted it checked quickly. I wouldn't have been able to get her out otherwise until Tuesday

Thank you. I will have a good time ^_^. Angie's family is awesome and I love spending holidays with them. Last Christmas, her grandmother almost yelled at Angie because she thought I'd been left home alone for the holiday, and was happy to hear I was actually visiting my grandfather.

Her grandmother has inducted a number of our friends as family, and has insisted on meeting significant others of said unofficially adopted friends. It's hilarious the way everyone knows not to argue with her, and she's such a great person. She's incredibly warm, and giving, and strong.

Wow, this turned long. So, yeah, Angie's grandmother is quite lovely and the entire family has been very welcoming of me. I'm going to love spending Thanksgiving with them.

I'm glad to hear the grandmother is welcoming and so is the family. I love family events like these. I never used to because I was more of a loner but now I love going to meet friends and relatives.

Hope Sugar is settling in ok. I know about cats costing more then you think. My Nene has kidney problems so she costs me at least $250 a month, at least $200 for her saline IVs and a minimum of $50 for her pills that need filling the most. On months when she needs more special food, IV's for 31 days and both medications she costs over $300. My boyfriend thinks I'm insane, but says it's my money. And I think she's worth it.
