Over here in Wisconsin (which is not pronounced west-consin as my friend from Indiana does heh heh heh) the yard or tag sales are "rummage sales" and I go to alot of them. Truck says "are you bringing home more crap????"
We have cans of pop but bottles of soda if you're my age but if you're my parents age "pop" covers the whole gamut.
Sneakers can be Tennies as well.
Depending on where you are from that little body of water can be a creek or a "crick" (still spelled the same) but that varies from area to area.
Dinner and supper are the same thing (confusing to those of the older generation who had their dinner at noon... which is when luncheon occurs!) XD No wonder Hobbits eat 6 meals. I love tea.
Oh and the couch? My grandmother called it a Davenport which is a lovely city in Iowa. Don't ask me why.
You and I love words. I'm not surprised you came up with something like this. Linguistics is a fascinating study and I wish more people would add it!
