Thanks for the maps! I'll ask about how far Naples is and see if there's a way to make a day trip there. If I don't have a chance this time, I guess I'll just have to go back again. ;)
Have fun!!! I'm going to Italy for two weeks in June... I bought a fill-in type book, and a 10-CD audio set in a futile attempt to teach myself a passable amount of Italian in a hopefully non-laughable accent. But so far I've only listed to about half of the first CD and read 3 pages of the massive book. Did you try to learn any Italian for your trip?

You don't need to learn Italian......I got along just fine without it. I was only taught the important words from my guide anyways, like hello, goodbye, where's the john cook? (place to get money from). A lot of people know english. Anyways, have fun Diana!

Thanks! :) You are so lucky that you'll get to go for two weeks. The weather should be really nice when you go as well. I think it's cool that you're teaching yourself some Italian. I've heard that Italians will appreciate you trying to speak their language, even if you butcher it a little. :) I didn't get any books or CD sets, but I did download some podcasts from iTunes. I've learned how to say hello (formal/informal), how are you, etc. I also learned how to say, "Leave me alone." :)

I'll be there for one week. I'm using up all of my vacation time; it's too bad I don't have more saved up!

I like that they use the term 'john cooks' for places to get money from.
