So this past work week was pretty boring, this weekend has definitely made up for it! I got to cross a whole bunch of things off my list! Friday at work I e-mailed Jess and Kelly and we organized going to a rugby game Friday night! We went to see the Sydney Roosters (or Roostas as it is pronounced while cheering), and I had a really good time. ( Read more... )

More recapping. Last night Kelly and I walked down to Darling Harbor to watch the tail end of the jazz festival. It was really cool - the amphitheater was actually in the water - we stood on a bridge and listened. We recognized most of the songs and it was beautiful night so I really enjoyed myself. So we’ve been in Australia for a week now and while this week has gone by pretty quickly, it feels like we’ve been here forever, and still feels like we have tons of time to (which is in fact kind of true since I leave six weeks from today). Well compared to every other day, today was less exciting. I did start my internship which seems like its going to be so much fun. I’m working with a woman named Rebecca who is really cute and really fun. I’m going to be in charge of redesigning their June newsletter which will give me plenty to do while I’m there. So technically it’s been nearly a week for me to settle in to things, but it really doesn’t seem that long. I was an emotional wreck the first day, then did just fine at the Peninsula, then yesterday I was a wreck too. After journaling last night and doing fun stuff today I’m really feeling quite good. We’ve spent the last couple days at the Mornington Pennisula so I haven’t had a chance to write - just didn’t feel like whipping out my laptop when we’re in the middle of the country side, it just feels wrong.
