Aw, hang in there honey. *hugs*

I know it is a rough transition, but don't rule out the possibility that a relatively crappy job for you will turn into an amazing job opportunity or an awesome professional connection. Take it one step at a time and see what unfolds. Most likely it will completely blow at first, but you never know what might turn up in the end.

use the radio.
A la Elizabeth town.
If its a guy singer, go xxxxxxx.
If its a girl, go xxxxxxx.
If its country, go xxxxxx.
Rock, go xxxxxx.

Or draw straws. Or paper rock scissors it.

Its too hard for either of you to decide. Which only means you love each other. Which is a GOOD thing.

*This too shall pass, she says, pointing to you and ignoring self*

Why don't you live in between your hometown and his perfect job? You'd both commute an hour each way opposite directions, but you'd both get to take advantage of the huge opportunities these jobs offer you.

Hugs. Whatever is best, will work out that way.

Since it's only 2 hours... Anyway you can commute to work that much? How much do you want this job? Could you stay with your mom say Mon-Thurs and Fri-Sun with him at home? Just for a year? Could you drive 4 hours a day to work and back? What are the options here for a win/win?

Whatever is best, will work out that way.
Hugs.
