Summary: The first time the Pride sacrificed the virgin couldn't have been smooth.
"So we just… stick it in?" Geoffrey asked uncertainly.
"Seems that way," Victor replied. "The Abstract doesn’t specify."
"So, no ‘sacrifice the virgin,’ or ‘bippity boppity boo?’" He made a vague swipe through the air with the knife in his hand.
"Yes, that appears to be the case." Victor gave him a very pointed, very annoyed look.
"Let’s not dwell on this, shall we?" Stacey Yorkes grumbled, obviously uncomfortable. "Start with just sticking it in and go from there."
Geoffrey gave her a dirty look and turned to their prisoner.
"You guys are a lot less impressive than you let on," the girl tied to the wall(was her name Melody? Or Melinda?) informed them.
"Shut up."
Janet Stein sighed and plunked her head down on the table. Leslie Dean kicked her chair back.
"Hey, Alice. You ever think about getting highlights?"
"No," Alice replied. "I’d look stupid with them." Her husband touched her arm, not looking at either of them.
"This is embarrassing," Tina Minoru said.
"We should be done by now," Robert agreed.
Geoffrey turned the knife on them. "Do you want to drive?" he demanded.
"We’re getting nowhere," the Hayeses said, creepily in unison. "Perhaps Mr. Wilder would be more comfortable sacrificing a stuffed animal."
"You shut up, too."
"You know, if all you said was true," the girl deadpanned. "You’re gonna get caught here pretty quickly. It’s not like you covered your tracks."
Frank Dean rubbed his eyes. Catharine rested a hand on her husband's shoulder.
"Darling, I think I’ll make tea if this is going to drag on much longer," Dale Yorkes informed his wife.
"No!" Geoffrey yelled. "No tea!"
"God, this is stupid," MelodyMelinda grumbled.
"You shut up!" Geoffrey whirled and jammed the knife in her chest. She fell quickly silent. He gaped at her. They all did.
"Well," Victor said after a very pregnant pause. "I suppose that’s how you do it."
