Summary: Janet's back from her trip.
Janet didn’t even wait for the car to stop, much to Catharine’s chagrin. She jumped out and ran into the house.
Victor met her in the hall. She leaped into his arms and wrapped herself around him.
"I missed you, too," he told her hair.
Outside, Catharine parked the car and came inside to join them.
"Next time, wait for me to park, would you?" she scolded.
Janet disengaged herself and grinned sheepishly. "Sorry."
"You worry me," Victor informed her. "How was San Francisco?"
"Okay. Thanks for the ride, Catharine."
Catharine nodded and passed her the keys.
"Thanks for letting me drive the car."
Victor raised an eyebrow at her. "You let someone else drive your car?"
"I was a little tired."
She slipped her hand into his. He squeezed it.
"Did you need a ride home, or is Geoffrey coming for you?" Victor asked Catharine.
"Geoffrey’ll be here in a second. I’ll just go get my stuff out of the car."
She turned to leave. This time, she waited until Catharine was completely gone to slide into Victor’s arms.
"I missed you and hotels suck and let’s go to bed."
Victor chuckled and followed her up the stairs.
