"Your son is covered in some sticky substance that I am not touching this time," Victor informed his wife, passing her in the hall.
"He’s a baby, Victor," Janet replied. "If you leave him alone with sticky stuff, he’s gonna get covered in it."
"I left him alone on the floor with a glass of water."
"And did you take the candy out of your desk?"
"…No…"
"Exactly." She grinned triumphantly at him. "So that’s what he’s covered in. Gummy bears and gummy worms."
Victor heaved a long-suffering sigh. "I was gonna use those, too."
Janet’s eyebrow shot up. "What for?" she asked suspiciously.
"In conjunction with the whipped cream in my office. When you’re done with the baby, do come see me. I have something to show you."
He grinned innocently and disappeared through the nearest door.
