Reader notes: A lot of people don't understand the love I hold for Dave Karofsky. I think part of it can be explained through this story. This is not a story wherein Dave finds acceptance from his friends. (And Dave is not so perfect here either, but I never claimed he was.) But here, you can see just a little bit the pervasive homophobia that can exist and really, it's not something you can ever wish someone to face when they are struggling to come to terms with their sexuality.
