Locked to ex-students

I have gained fresh respect for the teaching profession. How anyone manages to go for two weeks, let alone an entire career’s worth of time without cursing an entire year group into paralytic silence, I will never know.

Wouldn't be too sure about the cursing. Most of 'em are pretty handy with an obliviate too, so how could you tell?

Still there's always the MacMillan method. I hear he just bores them into silence.

A fair point. Perhaps it's a requirement of normal teacher training.

I should possibly take it as a compliment that they remained awake enough to be irritating, then?

Just be thankful my twin brothers aren't still attending lessons eh? Because they made irritating an art form.

Children can be very difficult.
I think I have learned very much about patience since I have become the guardian of my sister.

Being an only child, I've only ever encountered kids as peers or younger-years-to-be-avoided. Positions of responsibility are... new. And apparently frustraiting.
