Lola rennt (1998) Which movies have you seen? Only two movies that I hated -- not too bad. I just don't handle cinematic violence very well, even though I know it's all -- well, shadows of shadows of reality, as Prof. Campani would say. The only other movie I would once have honestly said I hated is Kill Bill: Vol. 1, but we all know how that turned out in the end. Well, no, maybe we don't. All I can say is that today while shopping in downtown Florence I went into a store that was a little bit pricey and not quite my style, but because they were playing the Kill Bill soundtrack I ended up staying there until I found a dark brown strapless top that I liked. It's basically two rectangles of too-thin cotton sewn together with elastic around the top to keep it on, and is almost certainly not worth 6.70 Euro. But I've decided to expand my horizons (and acquire yet another item of clothing that requires that perfect strapless bra I do not own), so there you go.
I was reluctant to leave before the soundtrack had played out, but luckily this weekend there's going to be a double feature of Vols. 1 and 2 in the open-air theater. In Italian. The prospect is so tempting that I might just have to give in.
