Bad grades are like herpes

I was just remarking to my roommate the other day that bad grades are like herpes, in the world of medical school admissions. And then the analogy got out of control. Here's the result.

Iffy Grades = HSV1

3ag goofy, geeky, funny. this really needs to join the youtube cadre for premed/med studwnts. I suggest a clinic for a setting. :) know any film school or nw file study center folks?

Did you know that your LOR writers can address bad grades? Did you have any of them do that?

I gave earlier drafts of my personal statement to my letter writers, so most of them knew the backstory. I don't know if they did or didn't address past grades, but I do know that they all wrote some fairly nice things about me.

(I can't read any of the letters, because I waived that right, but the pre-med advising committee gives each candidate an overall rating and they do tell you how they rated you. My rating was so high that I couldn't possibly have syphilis.)
