i forgot why i preferred the ease of selling on spot's corner - there isn't that typical shitiquette where people comment on your entry just minutes after you've made it and then four or more hours roll by and you're still without payment ( Read more... )

Sorry, but yes, you're being a whiny little bitch. The LJ comm is much more informal than Spot's is, and it regularly takes 12-48 hours to complete a transaction. Give her some time, I think you're being pretty unfair given the nature of the community.

um, yeah. i get it. hence the way i began this post with the statement that i prefer spot's over this shit. this is why i don't list many things in the CD community anymore. no biggie - it's a mentality thing, but i was sort of in a hurry to offload some diapers and thought lj mamas would appreciate not getting ripped off. apparently not enough to complete a transaction in a timely manner.

yeah what everyone else said. i'm sure she didn't do it intentionally, she probably just got busy doing something else. i really only use the computer once a day (or night?)- granted it's a pretty big block of time because my son is asleep. but if my son's awake, forget it.

I don't think your being whiny at all. It is totally one of my pet peeves. I always pay immediately. ugh.

Also, time differences - sometimes I say I will take something but am about to go to bed so tell the person I am buying off that I will send payment in the morning when I have their pp addy. (I am in the UK).

ETA: I wanted to cry when I saw your PWP, it was gorgeous!

oh that is completely acceptable. i sell to mamas in the UK and spain all the time and they always let me know.

i guess i just figured, that with high demand diapers, she would have either said she couldn't make immediate payment or been more timely in her responses. as it is, i still don't think she ever replied again.

oh and if no one buys it soon, i may keep that PWP for the next baby. i always wanted a front snapping PWP and finally got one when potty learning was about to begin.
