There is some big bad dramaz going on right now on Diaperswappers with a clever little scammer. A mama came on and double and even triple sold her dipes to the tune of about a grand on DS alone. aha thats awesome. (SARCASM) Paypal sucks though, so I hope the scammed paid with a CC and call their CC company asap. If it was funded or a debit card/bank account they are probably going to be SOL, cos that buyer protection thing? Only is valid if the seller is on ebay and has a lot of feedback.. and if they cant recover anything, tough beans. (I know this all too well, but thankfully when i got screwed I used my CC and visa was kind enough to say "So sorry heres your money back!"

I know. It struck me going through this that Paypal really is a great medium for scammers to get a couple of grand and then bail and have no repercussions. It's insane.

Some of the mamas paid with CC but you know, a lot of us just keep our pp funded so we don't stick other mamas with fees. And, heck, lots of mamas on DS don't even take non-funded pp. :( So it's "bye bye money" for many of us I bet. I didn't get stuck that badly but some mamas bought upwards of $200 in dipes. Ugh. People suck.

It SUCKS that scammers get away with that crap, too.

I got scammed by her... but not by buying her fake diapers, but selling her $112 of mine (plus $48 in trades). I always pay by credit card to protect myself, but never dreamed that PayPal would TAKE MONEY OUT OF MY ACCOUNT after I sell something to someone and their payment clears. I feel victimized twice... once by this woman and once by PayPal now. I'm out $150 of really cute medium Berry Plushes (some embroidered) *and* the $112 she sent me via PayPal.

She bought three Econappies on DS and never got them. Some mama PM'd her and said she's also bought those same three diapers, as had a few other people and no one ever received anything.

oh, and I want to add that I just received an "EUC diaper, worn 3-4 times" that is terribly pilled, has a mark through the tag, and a hole in the soaker.
