Whenever I see scammer info here in diaper drama I usually search my mail. I didn't find anything to significant, but I did see that nebraskagirl82 on DS had a scheduled c-section on the 28th of October. I really hope she is just caught up in baby and will refund you when she signs back onto paypal.
First: THANK YOU for looking ♥ That's just awesome. Srsly, thank you
Second: I am most hopeful that is the case--I scoured HC [with help from a friend] looking for her name//email address to no avail. Stupid me didn't think about looking through DS @_# So now I'm holding out hope that she will, in fact, fix this issue when she's able to.
PayPal is stupid, but too many buyers want to use it that sellers will lose out by not taking it.
The first payment you received from her you printed a label and sent it and it got lost in the mail (or taken from the mail box).
The penny enabled you to print a new label, BUT the tracking number would be connected to THAT "payment" rather than the first one.
So, as PayPal sees it, the first transaction, that she disputed, resulted in no item confirmed as delivered. The item you can prove was delivered was the second item.
PayPal is almost always going to side with the buyers because if they keep buyers happy, the buyers will keep demanding PayPal, forcing sellers to accept it or lose business.
I believe PayPal has an option to allow you to print (and pay for) additional labels for a transaction. I'm heading to a class in a moment (IVF injections, fun), so don't have time to look, but check that. I'm about 95% certain.
It won't help in this case, but it might in the future.
[though she sent it as a "goods" payment which of course requires you to actually ship something, so we'll see what happens when nothing is shipped. Perhaps I should print out a label and send an empty envelope...]
No worries! You don't HAVE to do anything there. I never print labels through paypal and they've all been 'for goods'. you just aren't protected in the event it goes missing. and since IT isn't really an item... what bad can happen? :)
