no you shouldnt refund her. she could have asked for insurance and didnt. you got DC which is the only thing i think you are required to do. it is a bad situation but really not your fault.
Then you're good to go. I mean, it sucks if it didn't get there, but you did your part. Hopefully it just got misplaced because of the Holiday mail and it makes it there shortly.
Thank god you have the delivery confirmation that says it got there. Maybe someone swiped it from her mailbox? Honestly, with the delivery conf saying it got there you're in the clear.
If you WANT to be nice you can refund her half, but you're certainly not required to do so.
I wouldn't issue a refund. You had delivery confirmation that says it has been delivered. I'm sure things can happen, but you don't know the person, and you've done your part. I wouldn't worry about it any further, personally.

I mean, DC said it was delivered... but I suppose that just means it got into the courrier's truck?
