[ For once, the feed kicks on and Yusuf is ready for it. He's in the lab (otherwise known as, the basement, but he's not exactly picky about these things) and the feed gets a clear view of... well. Not very much. For something that is supposed to be a lab, it's noticeably sparse. This, ladies, gents, and pterodactyls, is the reason for this feed. ]

Really, you're too kind! I had a lovely time making dinner for everyone, and I'm just glad you all enjoyed yourselves so much.

[But on the subject of furniture, then...]

And I'd be happy to look around and see if there might be any spare things around the Warehouse that we aren't using, if you like. I'm sure we must have a few things that no one touches--er, no one but Snowdrop, that is.

I cannot imagine a better way to spend an evening.

[ At the mention of someone else possibly using the unwanted things in the warehouse, Yusuf considers telling her not to put herself through the trouble. Yusuf doesn't want to step on any toes. ]

Is Snowdrop a.. colleague of yours?

Oh! No, she's my cat. But cats do rather like to sleep on furniture, you know, and she doesn't get on the ones in the den or anything like that, so I was just thinking that perhaps she'd found some of her own.

When you said you wanted shelves, though, were you after bookshelves in particular?

[ FAST TRACK TO YUSUF'S GOOD SIDE: YOU ARE ON IT. ]

Most definitely, mine particularly likes-- well, used to enjoy-- sleeping on the papasan. Now she will sleep wherever she is most in the way; as is the flawless way of cat logic. I certainly would not want to impose on Snowdrop, lest she find creative ways to retaliate. [ Then again... not all cats are quite as annoying as Rhada buuuuut... ]

Anything that can hold vials of chemicals and lightweight lab equipment. All of my journal's are back in Mombasa, but a couple of my flatmates might have use of any bookshelves for their own purposes.

If you don't object to certain bits of it having served as part of some stage set somewhere along the line, there might be a piece or two here in the opera house that could be of use.

[Also really curious about those biochemistry studies...]

So long as its sturdy, anything it was used for previously hardly matters. Everything is going to be sterilized of pre-existing organic mater anyway.

[ A pause... Moving is wreaking havoc on Yusuf's already dubious sense of direction. ] Although, I might need to look at a map to figure out where the opera house is from here.

It's sturdy enough, I should think.

I suppose that depends on where you are at present.

We are... a bit further from the Carrousel than we used to be... [ Which is... fabulously unhelpful... ]

Actually, I have the address, if that would help?

Are jobs really necessary, here?

[Dom is out walking. You know. Trying to deal with all his issues with somnacin withdrawal. pro tip: not working well]

Do you have an alternative that does not involve attracting the authorities?

[ Which, given the context of the question, is an equally ridiculous query. But, you know. ]

Dreams do not normally require us to hold down jobs with money, you know.

I assure you, I have already tried dreaming some cash into my wallet; it is not working.

This dream seems to violate several of the basic tenants of your typical lucid dream.

Biochemistry. That's impressive.

[ back home natasha would have pulled up any and all available paper trails on him, but here, her resources are limited so. conversation is go. ]

Useful, at the very least.

[ Impressive is a matter of opinion, and Yusuf has never seen the point in bragging. It draws unnecessary attention. ]

Depends on what one does with it.

True, though funding often influences those decisions.
