i can vaugley discern something along the lines of "6-8 picnic NMH" written on the calendar for this wednesday. dunno if its the same thing you are talking about and dont know if im even invited, but im sure i could tag along under the pretence that i'm going be a day stud SL.

eons (short for Eonotherm) are just shitloads of time.
or more precicely: largest division of geologic time, embracing several *eras*
eras (short for Erathem) are geologic divisions including several *periods*
periods are commonly used unit of geologic time, representing one subdivision of an era. period generally lasts for some thirty to eighty million years.

so in summary:
(30-80 million years per period) x (2-6 periods per era) x (several eras per eon, we'll say 3)= 180 million-1.44 billion years per eon.
looks like a while before your next entry...
