Hey, thanks so much for the word on the BUNAC thing - it looks like it might be the answer to several major problems I've been having. Just one question: how long did it take for you to get your approval and the visa through after you applied?
Hmmmmmmmmmm. I applied in about December and I got my approval letter (which you give to customs when you fly in to get your visa) in April or May (but i think it was dated late Feb, so you might be able to fast track that a bit). You might have to wait till december to get on the programme again. I had to enter Canada wihin a year and from my date of entry I have one year to work. Also, the programm i am on fast tracked my SIN number (Social security), without which you cant get paid. it takes about 6 weeks normally, but we got them in a week. The visa lets you work in any area of the country in any field except child minding. Hope you get what you want :) and thanks for the well wishes :) Fell free to ask me any other questions you might have about it.
Thanks for the info - that's useful to know. I might give them a call, as I'd be looking at going out there in September/October and I may not have time to get on the program if they don't fast track it.
If this comes off, I'm going to send you the biggest basket of Canadian goodies when I get to Vancouver. :)
