A Nu way of doing things

Yes, I almost never post at the moment. But right now I’ve just had enough of writing my thesis, and I want to write something else, like a journal entry. So here we are. I expect that I’ll start with a few more general ideas, and then move on to justify the rather bad pun in my title. So, life first, code second (not that that’s the way I actually ( Read more... )

Man, I hear you about writing the thesis! When I was doing mine it was nice just to write anything else, but it felt like I was being bad and betraying my monolothic document waiting for me in another window.

I have absolutely never put the olive oil and onions on the stove before the frying pan.

I have also absolutely never turned on completely the wrong burner and melted a pot-lid, or forgotten to put the pot in the coffee maker before trying to make coffee at work.

Nope, never.

When I was writing my thesis, all I wanted to do was play NetHack.

This was easier when it was my Honours thesis and not my Masters thesis, because I really hate NetHack for OS X.
