I guess this about says it all. I’ve got to say though, that I’m impressed by how quickly ApJ Letters works (especially compared to the regular peer-review process). I think it's great to see the word 'gigayears' in your abstract, too.

Isn't it though? I tend to think "oh, redshift 0.5, that's pretty close", then I suddenly remember that I'm talking about 5 billion lightyears, or about 1/3 of the age of the Universe, so it isn't really close at all. Damn you redshift, and your logarithmic timescale!
