Dear Amir, Robin and Tuni,

Dick will be alright--watch; he will be with you all at home to enjoy the sun-rise, sun-set right from the deck of your home on the lake. It will happen guys! I will be there to hold him, hug him and celebrate with you all. Tuni, I know you are strong--please have that faith and hope strong.

You see, I am the living example! I have carried BOU and Lilly in these hands--taken them to the emergency rooms in haste because the ambulance was getting late--the doctors have given their best but most important of all; HE, THE GOD has listened to our prayers and given the best hand to keep both of them alive. Last 5 years of my life has been unique--our boys have lived through this. We all are pooling our prayers and Dick shall come out of this. You all build your mental strength and pray--whoever is by Dick's side now, give him a big hug and kiss from all of us

Dear Dick,
I am so thankful that I got to see you last month, to hug you and cry with you and feel your warmth and strength that has been a part of my life since I was born. When we were all in Michigan last month, Ben's (now) wife, Dani, asked us who you were, how we knew you. Ben replied, "well, he was our Indian chief," as if that explained it, as if everyone has "their Indian chief." We laughed and cried together, and shared so many wonderful memories of Walden, Meyer Lake, New Years, Christmas, Hanukkah, graduations, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. Its true, we have shared so much together, and we are all blessed by these wonderful memories.
You will always be our Indian chief.
Love always,
Shana

Dear Dick uncle
We are SO happy to hear that you are back home in MI, and progressing well. You are always in our thoughts and prayers. It has been wonderful to read Robin's and Amir's daily entries. Their words and strength have been powerful and inspiring. Just wanted to wish you, Tuni auntie, Robin, and Amir much love, and we'll plan on seeing you soon :) Let's all stay strong and positive. Best wishes from our family.
Melissa
