I'm a bigger fan of the NIN version but Johnny Cash did do an absolutely amazing job of covering Hurt

Johnny Cash has more of a mellow, mono-toned voice, which makes it more a sad sounding verison. Trent changes his pitch alot more at the end, which kind of gives it an angry tone to the ending of the song...just my opinion.
