!.Mastodon is opening for Neurosis in NYC in a week. After much soul searching and little math I've decided not to go. I have home heating oil to purchase on the off-chance that it might be winter or something. I'm deciding not to be pissed, and also if not being pissed means buying a Melvins t-shirt. I did! I think your riffs have gotten a lot better. Those songs definitely kick ass though. It kind of reminds me of the Berzerker, onlky more intelligent. I'd like to hear a multi-layer/textural vocal thing happening, should you decide to add vocals. Barring that, I think adding seven or eight dB around 3.5 kHz to the guitars would make the tracks sizzle a bit more. If you'ld like, I would happily take a crack at mixing them for you!

I've thought about this for a bit, and I would like to pay you to do a real, full mixing job if you are interested and have time. I'm not ready yet because not all the songs are written/recorded (they probably will be done in a month or two) but then can I send you all the master tracks somehow and have you make 'em sound real nice? What do you think?
