how long was your hair when you started putting the yarn extensions in it?

Well when I first did it a only put in two extensions and I put them in my shortest dreads so probably about two inches.

my friend tiana is putting in sew-in extensions in my mohawk. (so my grandmother doesn't get upset when we see her because of my mohawk)

my hair is around two-three inches long...

I don't know because I sewed mine into preexisting dreads. If your friend knows how to do regular hair extensions I am sure it will work but if not I'll keep you in my thoughts. ;p
