Yeah, I can see the inspiring side of it, but at the point at which the singer's being tied to the chair, I'd wonder about what it said about the bride and groom; when he talks about 'moving in you', I'd feel a bit twitchy about the grandparents; when the singer decides that it was all for shit, but he'll still stand up for the hallelujah, I'd hope that he was talking about a previous relationship, and that he's gotten over it since.
I've got a couple of friends whose wedding I attended in the spring; she just asked him to move out and he obliged. I don't like the idea of entering a marriage with that sentiment.
Buckley's, and maybe another. As I mentioned above, though, no singing, just guitar, so I think it might work. (And I'm really doing the Cale version, musically speaking.) People choose some crazy-ass songs for their weddings, but when me and Rachel talked about it, we realized that most of our favorite songs have pretty anti-wedding sentiments in their lyrics.

I figured it was rude to question. I'm not actually singing it, just playing an instrumental version on the guitar, and I guess without the words it's more just pretty and romantic?
This preacher posted a comment on my Hallelujah entry with the sermon he wrote based on the song, with this really specific Biblical interpretation of it. It's pretty neat!
Hallelujah was one of the songs that contestants could sing during the boot camp rounds of X Factor this year. A girl sang it well and Simon Cowell said she had "great taste in music". This definitely has to mark the end of the song's coolness!
