I'm sick of the propaganda and the fear-mongering. Will someone please just tell me the facts about the proposed health care reform, so that I can judge whether it's a good idea or not? And don't you even trot out all the Canadians who are supposedly dying left and right. I know some Canadians, and they *like* their health care.

I want the same thing. :)

Is England's health care anything like Canada's? Because I know of a certain someone who keeps coming over here for surgeries and stuff because England's health care is apparently really bad. (ask me if you want more details)

Hmm, intriguing... I don't know anything about England's health care, but this the exchange that occurred between me and one of my Canadian friends:

Me: So, is socialized health care as terrible as they say? We’re debating health care reform here in the US, and all of the Republicans are running about, waving their arms and saying, “Dear God, who would want to be like the CANADIANS???” And those of us who are uninsured grad students are giving them the finger ( ... )

Yea, I still want more details. Although I think as a Libertarian I am supposed to inherently hate the takeover of anything private by the government. :) I'm still open to the idea, though.

Yeah. My problem with Libertarianism is I think there's an inherent trust in private corporations to look out for us, which I don't really have. While the government is far from perfect, it's at least accountable to the people, insofar as we bother to pay attention. But I agree with you, I want more details. :)
