[Unfortunately, without his sister to inform him of when his phone is ringing, he doesn't catch it right away. When he gets the voice mail though, an overwhelming feeling of dread passes over him. Mostly because he knows that Haruhi doesn't sound pleased at having to leave a message.
So he decides to leave his room and go to the brigade room as soon as he gets the message, a good twenty minutes after she originally calls. Hopefully she isn't too annoyed.]
[Getting sent to voicemail and having to wait twenty minutes? She's definitely irked, but her impatience is more prevalent. Once Kyon walks in the door, she practically jumps out of her chair.]
What took you so long? You're really late! Penalty!
[She'll figure out what his penalty is later. For now, he'll just get a glare.]
I wanted you to come right away because this is important!
[As he expected. Maybe next time he'll keep his phone on him and abide by the laws set forth by his impatient Brigade Leader. He doesn't even get to ask "What kind of penalty?" before she continues on.]
I was getting back from the surface. Why, what's going on?

Hey, Kyon! Stop whatever you're doing right now and come to the brigade room!
