Don't let yourself get hung up on leaving college. College isn't for everyone, and you CAN find a career without a degree. It's just more difficult. merlyn_emrys dropped out of college and he bounced around a lot when he was younger from different jobs and always seemed to fall back to waiting tables at the same Denny's. Finally he got a unit secretary position at one of the hospitals and he's really taken off from there. Now he has a fantastic job (still with the same company that runs the hospital) and makes more money then I ever will, all without a degree. Now he is starting to find the wall of how high he can climb without that degree, but it's really astounding to me how far he's come. Then you have me, I do have a degree, but it's done very little for me. The only job I had that used anything I learned from college was a pottery studio that paid me $8 an hour (and that was after being there a year), Taco Bell was hiring for $9 or $10.
