Yeah, a bit rambling, comparisons and art fails ahead:
Ookiku Furikabutte
Lmao, I'm not a fan of shonen-ai and I never notice any hints (I don't get how KHR! fandom can see them *drop*), but the hints in Oofuri were so obvious that even I noticed them xDD just look at my icon xD (Mihashi: "DAISUKI!!!" Abe: "Domo, ehehe.." xDD)
I had to pause the video at this scene and rofl through the apartment XD
The 25 episodes of this anime only consisted of two Baseball games. The games and the story had a slow pace, it had too many stills, but the anime was still enjoyable.
I didn't know that Baseball is THAT awesome. I've never watched a Baseball game, I don't know the rules (yet I still played it with some kids when I was younger xD), so I really loved it that there is more to it than just hitting a ball with a bat and run around.
It also surprised me that the main characters are a pitcher and a catcher and that those two positions are the most important ones in baseball (non?).
The slow pace of the anime was mostly due to Abe studying the batters and deciding what kind of pitch Mihashi has to throw.
I constantly tried to compare Oofuri to ES 21, but baseball and football are too different, because football is more about body strength/speed than techniques (which kinda explains why ES 21 has such ridiculous made up techniques, lool).
Anyway, Baseball's nature is more about accuracy and control and that's why there isn't much action in Oofuri.
The characters made up for it though xD I love Abe and Mihashi, especially Abe, who's the bossy type, while Mihashi is a whimp with awesome pitches but no self-confidence.
Some people on MAL said that Mihashi is annoying, but I think his character is the right counterpart to Abe, which makes their relationship even more interesting.
Sometimes you have no clue what's going through Mihashi's mind or why he's fidgeting all the time, it's like watching him through the eyes of the other characters who try to figure him out.
While the narration concentrates on Mihashi's behaviour, there are still moments where you watch him from afar and that's what makes him rather interesting than annoying.
And no one can beat Dame-Tsuna and Naruto in annoyance *drop*
Mihashi at least tries to live up to Abe's expectations, while Tsuna...well, ..still denies the mafia OTL no progress. Want to punch him. Want Xanxus to kill him.
The second season of Oofuri has a different style ;_; Abe's eyebrows T_T
I hope that it'll be as good as the first season though..or even better, want to see more of Abe blowing up at Mihashi xDDD and the other characters should get more attention.
Even at the end of season 1, some team members were still unknown =_=
Bakuman
....I'm wondering if something happened to Takeshi Obata...or some of his assistents o_O°
The panels have no grid foil, drawings are too simple and sometimes sketchy =_=
When I see this kind of crap from Obata, I have to force myself to read the chapter =_=
I really hope that these drawings will look more polished in the tankobon.
But Obata's crap still looks better than what Amano presented us this week -_-
Reborn!
