Anyone have any contacts in (Albuquerque) New Mexico? A friend's dog just had 6 puppies via C-section, but then she died possibly due to the vet improperly suturing her. Although he also has to work, he is feeding her pups 'round the clock. He as no one around to ask to help out (I would, but Albuquerque is far and pricey to fly.)

Could be an "LJ Message Problem"? -- I have also just discovered that LJ apparently without any fore-warning quit forwarding me my "message" notices over a year ago - and the tiny little "message count" number next to the tiny envelope icon up in the dark bar area over my journal (the dark bar which I usually ignore) is very hard for my eyes to read so I never SEE it - so it's a rude shock to me that I've apparently not noticed several messages I have received myself for over a year now. :(((
Harry now has a lot more than 6 pups and is even more overwhelmed. Other pregnant dog had 10 a few days later; she would already need supplementation with that many. I think he's possibly lost 2 pups already (one from each litter). :(((
