John smiled, he knew Stark was home now and so on her birthday he knew he'd have to do some running about. He left work early, and went and bought her a small cake, no need for something all huge for the two of them. He picked up a simple present for her, a pair of earrings. When he got home he walked in and headed to their bedroom. He kissed her

Stark was due in just over a month now, swollen, huge and tired. "Hey, John," she said softly. She had been in bed resting and watching TV all day. "How was work?"

"Uneventful. Nothing overly dangerous." He smiled, he knew she worried about him since she wasn't there with him.

"Good." She nodded and moved over so he could sit beside her. Even that small movement seemed to take a lot of effort.

He rested beside her, kissing her tenderly. "How are you Honey?"
