No, he didn't. He killed the random shrimp guy. Plus, we know that Jack's dad died from alcohol poisoning. Unless Sawyer got sloshed with the guy and he happened to die and now Sawyer feels really guilty about it, there's no way even Sawyer could think that he killed Jack's daddy.

He may not have killed him, but he was at least there when it happened, IMO.

In Hearts and Minds when he was arrested, he said:
I was just sitting at that crappy, little bar, minding my own business when this guy fell on my (something). (louder) It was his bottle. I just gave it back to him.

As soon as I heard that, and knew that Jack's dad was going to be in Sawyer's flashback, I immediately connected the two. I was a little disappointed it didn't happen... until the end. When Sawyer didn't tell Jack about his dad. It seemed to me like he had another encounter with him that we'll see in a future flashback.

i reeeallu want Sawyer to tell him,a dn Jack to start crying and everything. oh drama. why didnt he tell Jack his father loves him though...?

I would bet he did kill him, and we'll find out eventually. They put too much backstory connecting the three characters not to. Or not. Meh... I don't know.
