I agree (with everything including Harry and Frodo stuff).

Jack needs to go so other people will realize they can do stuff too.

I agree. Jack, along with many other male protaganists, just have that annoying hero/savior-complex. He always has to be right, he has to save everyone, he has to know all.

With Harry and Frodo, although they are regularly in that "hero" position, it's not because they want to be but because they are put in that position due to circumstances beyond their control.
