WOO. Tonight I made eggrolls. AND crab rangoons. It was bitchin' /awesome/. And they taste...well, chinese restaurant authentic, anyway. Which is more than good enough for me! So, for posterity, I'm writing up the ingredients and process.

Bitchinest eggrolls ever this way )

You didn't even see the bar! Which was very useful, spacewise. It's a nice kitchen, for its compactness.

MAYBE ONE DAY YOU WILL MAKE EGGROLLS. I WILL HOLD OUT HOPE.

My kitchen is like... smaller than what's visible in that last picture.

MAYBE IF YOU MAKE THEM FOR ME I MIGHT TRY SOME.

OMG YUM.

So I have this crazy recipe I have for pizza rolls, where I basically fill egg roll wrappers with pizza sauce, cheese & w/e else catches my fancy & is pizza-y, and fry the hell out of them the same way you did. You can also seal up these suckers with a paste of flour & water if you don't have egg handy. I have been dying to concoct a dessert-style alternative, possibly with cream cheese & pie filling.

DO IT. Cream cheese and some kind of chocolate. Nutella? Ommmm. I did that with canned biscuit dough, lol.

Wow, really? You've never had eggrolls at all? That's...oh I feel for you. They're such staples of chinese buffet food here.

This is amazing and why did I already have food in the oven when I started reading it? I NEED THESE EGGROLLS IN MY MOUTH RIGHT FUCKING NOW.

I love your stream-of-consciousness recipes :D

It's all helpful information! I mean I always set out with a plan "I'm going to make eggrolls" and then it's like...OMFG how much of everything do I need? And then I just kinda go. But this way others can benefit from my experimentation!
