Jon and I at the Elbhang Festival

So there is a festival here at the river Elbe where people living there open their gardens and you get food (self-baked cake!) and drinks, and lots of music. I went to see a men's choir, I love those!

And I dressed up Jon nicely and took him with me. He is quite the poser, isn't he?

Oh, we have open gardens here in Australia too, usually in Spring when everything is in flower.

It's not just the gardens though. This is how it started years ago, but it evolved into a proper festival where you can listen to music everywhere, and other things like theatre plays. Usually it costs entry but this year it was free.

It is several kilometers to walk if you walk from start till end to get to all the stations. But since it was a very sunny day with 31° Celsius I only went to where the men's choir was singing and back.

It was a lovely day out indeed, thank you!
