I live in Australia. The percentage of the Asian population that has eczema is ridiculous, I believe. I never used to have it when I was little but then last year I started paying for all the gloating I did when my brother had to slather cream on himself to stop the itching. I'm lucky that mine is only really mild but I can't believe I have to put ( Read more... )

Bandaging the affected area will only make it worse and won't give it a chance to heal properly. If you're worried about scratching in your sleep, wear cotton gloves, because you can control it while you're awake.

Lucky! Covering the area will only keep it moist, which is often the cause of the irritation and the need to scratch.

Well good. But yes, wearing the gloves or socks or anything cotton and covering your hands is the best idea for keeping your hands from doing damage to any itchy, infected or "unhappy" part of your body, especially your face.
