Saint Seiya AU ficlets pt. 1

It was a quiet evening. All the others were already in deep sleep, having been dead tired after returning from the live house gig. But Hyoga just couldn’t sleep. He was still buzzing with energy.

The blonde guitarist sat up - carefully - as he didn’t want Shun to wake up.
They were cramped into one room; he was sharing a bed with the green haired bassist. Seiya was tugged in an armchair and Shiryu was on the sofa. No one knew where Ikki slept - probably in the lobby.

Hyoga looked around, sighed and walked quietly to the window. He peeked through the curtains at the dark town. Of course there were lights, but this was a small town, so they didn’t glare too much at him.

He pulled on his jeans and a shirt and took his coat from the hook near the door. Hyoga opened the door as quietly as he could, but as he looked back he saw Shiryu watching him.

“I can’t sleep”, he explained, “I’ll just take a little walk.”

The drummer shrugged and turned around, continuing his sleep.

Hyoga shook his head and closed the door behind him. The hallway was empty all the way to the lobby, where there was an employee half-asleep and Ikki stretched across the benches - apparently sleeping. Hyoga smiled as he passed the sleeping figure.

“Hey. Where’re you going?” Ikki suddenly asked.

“Just taking a walk”, Hyoga answered, “Why don’t you go on to the room?”

“Nah. I’m better off here. Don’t be too long.”

Hyoga waved at him as he went outside. It was a chilly wind, and a snowy smell. He inhaled deeply and started walking away from the town centre. He wanted quiet. He needed it after today’s concert. The hotel they were in was close to the edge of the town, so it didn’t take long for him to reach a small patch of woods. There was a walking track in the forest, so Hyoga decided to walk a round.

It was even darker in the woods, but also lovely and quiet. The smell of coming snow was even stronger here. It reminded Hyoga of his childhood spent in Northern Russia - it was a good smell. He stopped to enjoy it once in a while. Breathing deep - his eyes closed.

Once he stopped on a small bridge. The creek beneath was frozen, but the water was still moving. He leaned on the rail and looked over the opening lake. He thought about his hopes - most of them about the band.

As he stood there, pondering, he felt a slight touch on his face. Like the tickle of eyelashes. He looked up and saw that the snow was finally falling. Big, fluffy flakes of snow were slowly making their way on the ground.

It made Hyoga smile.
