Obviously i watched the Kony 2012 film, and i was surprised as well about how i continued watching it for 27minutes, instead of switching it off. Why did Jason Russell's film go viral?

very well said! People are calling it a scam... but really, we can only blame ourselves (as societies) for only engaging at this level. I mean, who wants to read the nitty gritty UN reports or the Economist for the bare naked details. I too am guilty of happily clicking "share" and feeling like i've done my part.
