Well, I presently sit 20 yards away from the Lovell telescope, and have another puny telescope to my right. Now, I am all for telescopes and stuff, but I can't help feeling something went wrong when they started looking like bowls, instead of well, proper "telescopes" - cylinders and the ilk

Apparently, the son of Frank Herbert continues to write in the series; mostly prequels. However, I remember reading that he was planning to write a follow up to chapter house.

Agreed, that this can hardly be considered canonical, but it might prove interesting...
