hiya, before i had a car i walked everywhere (and was in much better shape) so i believe it is a really good for you esp. if you haven't been very active lately. I just started walking more (im in college so im going from on end of campus to the other) i'm in a similar situation, i'm 21 this is the most i've ever weighed. I used to eat out ALL the time, but lately i've been making positive changes. not eating out as much, walking, parking on the top of the parking structure and than taking the stairs, started taking yoga, but this is all progressing slowly... just do little changes and you'll be able to do it.

I lost 10 pounds this months and all I did was walk and cut down portions. It works, you just got to be patient, and if you get on a scale and you havent lost weight don't be discouraged. That usually happens at first because you loose fat and gain muscle. Muscle weighs alot more than fat. But walking and cutting down portions is a great start! Keep us posted. We can try and help motivate you.
