Hm, I suppose it is Mother's Day here, considering this wretched town is supposedly placed in America. To think I'm still trapped here. The irony.

Mothering Sunday was quite some time ago for me, actually. March 22nd.

[ooc: Have fun commanding a country. 8D]

zuko, why am i still here, silly america, "wife", nia, this will end in pain, slightly snotty, chrona, my holidays are better than yours

Mothering Sunday? There is more than one day to celebrate mothers? Why would we need more than one day?

Oh. It's really just that some countries celebrate the same day at a different date than others.

It's called Mothering Sunday where I am ...from.

That seems strange? Why not just celebrate all on the same day? It's more fun that way, celebrating with all of your friends!

Where you are from?

For one thing, many countries have different rules as well as even different calenders. Also, until recently many countries were just not in contact with each other, see? Why go through the unholy process of picking one day when everyone can just have their own. It makes it easier on us if we just stick to what we already have.

Ah, England

W-What are we supposed to do on Mother's Day...?

It varies. It's meant to show appreciation to ones Mother. Cakes, presents, cards, and things like that are common, I believe. Ah, I'm not the authority to ask. I've never celebrated the holiday myself, really.

America's another place where you come from?

Mothering Sunday?

It is. Unfortunately.

It's similar enough to Mother's Day, here.

Then there must be a personification for it, too.

What's the point of it?

Yes. Yes there bloody well is.

The point is to celebrate mother types in your life. Buy a cake, make a card, you get the idea. Why am I the one explaining this to everyone?
