For D/T, T/D... nothing comes to my mind. I admit D/T wasn't really my OTP when I was reading a lot of ff, and maybe I was unlucky... But D/T, as well as D/S kind of used to be one of those pairings when one of the guys is so ridiculously feminized he's practically a girl with a dick. There was a poll once (somewhere here -> deg_fanficrants) about whose characterization is the worst in ff - my vote - Toshiya. He and Shinya used to seen both "girls" but Shinya has at lest some dignity left (as being strong willed, responsible, independent...). Toshiya... Toshiya... Toshiya is usually portrayed as somehow dim crybaby that is TOTALLY dependent on others, thinking, or rather "thinking" only about pranks and sex, or he often has no personality at all! He's so submissive it hurts :( and the total lack of any masculinity depresses me.

That's why I need a good D/T fanfic recommendation.

My true OTP is Die/Kyo. Somehow anytime I play Sims I end up making them a couple ;) I think Kyo likes Die and Die makes him seem happy (

Unfortunately I have to agree with you, when I used to read lots and lots of fics of every possible pair some years ago, in pretty much all of Die/Toshiya fics Tosh was characterized so annoyingly girly it kinda made me avoid the fics. But it wasn't only there, Toshiya's character was totally abused in pretty much all the fics I read D: Which sucks! Nowadays it's better though and I think many of the new D/T fics have a masculine, confident Toshiya too :) At least I try to always give him that vibe, hopefully at least partly successfully XD

I'll add the pairings/links later (I have to go now too). But man, the Toshiya/sci-fi thing got me so flustrated at some point that I EVEN was like I'll write my own sci-fi ff! But fortunately I can't write ;p

But Toshiya fanfiction DO get better now...

All those are from kyokao - what is pretty convenient 'coz you can easily find through their memories:
"To be a shadow" by kaorus_beard - it has K/Ka, D/S... Toshiya is I think single there (I REALLY, REALLY recommend this one)
"Red ... [em]" by vampire_kiki - one of those everyoneXkyo ones abuse fics, but I like the idea of that tape and photos (what the hell with Die kidnapping Kyo?! it's like more then one fic following this pattern (and with lot of rape of course))
"Temptation's wings" by xblue_fishx - I won't believe you don't know this one ;) also T/D? I like her other fics too - too bad they are not finished

xoshimmystarox's one had Kao/Die I think.

As I'm going through those ff now... I've just realized... I have a kidnap_me kink?! O_o WTF?! All of those listed above (including your vampire ff) have something among those lines (save "Rivaltry" and the CSI one)... I'm so surprised by this revelation I honestly don't know what to say.

I haven't read enough to determine one particular one. I like reading Toshiya x Die angst. I love angst <3.

I have more, favourite authors, than favourite fics, so I'd say, fonulyn, seinen_no and bishonendreams. like, forever and for several reasons but particullary because of the diversity and coherence of the feelings the characters develope in their fics. all of them not only the d/t ones 8D.
