i always feel weird when i am the first to comment. i don't know why i wanted to say that, but i felt like sharing that.

my comment basically though, is in regards to this - "though if i had $5000 right now, rather than pay off all of my debt, i would probably buy a synthesizer, a guitar, and an 8-track. because there is no One Thing driving me forward, i think the only thing that could cause me to make any kind of leap would be a very significant sense of security."

I Agree, for myself.
but i would probably buy a nicer camera with that $5000, and buy a plane ticket to come visit you, and drag you away from that desk, to go up to seattle to meet up with the other boys, and then have us go take lots of photo's. or i would go to mexico and hang out on the beach, and feel warm.
