A/N: This is totally not an excuse to advertise the fact that I have a prompt post that's opened now. Seriously, who even does that with a plot like this?

When he comes back to Spain, it rains harder than ever. The country is dull, muggy, and somewhat sullen―damaged by the emotions it's flown with. Fernando thinks, it's like his blood land isn't ready to forgive. As if it's wailing for him to be there, dreading for what he's known to cause.

Raw sadness.

That's why he sits there in his suite and prepares himself for―for something he isn't quite sure yet. There's a lot of things that he doesn't know an exact answer for. Like the reason for quitting his job, divorcing his wife of two years, and leaving the country he once thought was home. He figured it must have been the pain in his heart that lead to this, like the letter that reopened his wound―the one that was never quite fixed no matter how hard he closed his eyes at night, there was always tears in the end.

But one thing he knew for sure was that he had to do this. He couldn't give himself any chance to step back and doubt. He had too much time for that before and it was only suffering the one person who didn't deserve that the most. The one person he ever shared his love with.

Sergio was never the one to shy away from things. Fernando was.

That became a problem later, when they much older and knew what their love trully meant. One was moving forward, as the other was being pushed in a corner of mere confusion that he didn't know what to do with, except run away.

And that might―has been the worst thing to ever do; to run away from love. Therefore causing a heart to break and bleed.

That's why Fernando undestands why his land is full of despair. That's how he last left it.

But he plans to heal the sunshine back, with the one thing he's ran away from.

His love.

It use to be their home that he pulled his car by the curve to, their sidewalk, their door, their doorbell. He still remembers the day they bought it together, and the days it took to move in, better than summer vacation itself.

The rain platters on him as he knocks once, twice, like a stranger. He leaves his hand on the wet wood, and he can barely remember how it looked inside. A frown drivens from Fernando's face.

Then the door opens and the air is suddenly not there. It felt like a beautiful blade piercing through his body, but finally reviving him to life, to his home.

Sergio was never the one to shy away from things. His face was nothing but sleep deprived beauty and pain. "W-What are you doing here?"

Fernando could barely utter a word. He was freezing but falling in love all over again. And for that moment, he felt like he did in the past, blissfully peaceful again.

The answers were always there, but he could never find them until now. "I'm here to love you."

Sergio was awake then, and looked at him as if he were searching for the truth in his eyes. Fernando had nothing to worry about this time. He knew what glimmered there.

"Wh-..What.." Sergio could barely speak either.

Fernando stepped closer and placed his hand over Sergio's where it held onto the doorframe. Sergio eyes shifted from his, finallying shying away as he stepped back.

"I'm sorry." Fernando apologetically smiles. "I'll never let you hurt like this again."

He took another step forward that wasn't something he did often. They were so close then that he couldn't help himself. His cold hand rested on Sergio's cheek as he kissed him, the other curling around his warm fingers.

They barely broke apart and they couldn't pull away from each other, their lips kept brushing.

"Why are you doing this to me?" Sergio mumbled, desperately and brokened. "I can't.."

Fernando kissed his moist lips again, feeling his own voice crack in his throat for how much he loved him. When he finally pulled away, Sergio eyes were filled with tears that only made Fernando cry instead.

"I was honestly scared for what I had felt for you, ..but now I love you too much to let that fool me."

Sergio frowned as tears fell down his face. His hand made it's way to the back of Fernando's neck, affectionately threading his fingers through the wet hair. By the look on his face Fernando knows that he's debating with himself with what to say or to think. Fernando isn't use to seeing Sergio unsure of himself.

"Just let me love you again." Fernando begs, melting into his touch. "I can do it right this time."

Sergio sniffled, his face grew harder in expression. "Promise me you'll never run away again." He said, and Fernando knew there was much more to that, but Sergio couldn't bring himself to ruin this being angry. Fernando shook his head softly as he Sergio pulled him closer to himself, not caring for how soaking cold he was. And Fernando's so overwhelmed that he just cries even more, seeking shelter in Sergio's neck for how perfect it is to be home.

"I promise."
