So I gave in, and now a part of my soul can be found at www.myspace.com/rindarindarinda. Now that's it there tho, I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with it. I can't even work out how to change the background. Useless.

I haven't read a whole lot this year, but I thought I'd just go through the few things I have and comment on them, cos I've been ( Read more... )

Fuck you guys read a lot of novels. I read the newspaper and the internet every day and that's about it. I used to read heaps of books when I was in primary school but the internet was only just coming into its own back then. I wonder where all my spare time goes. I don't have an hour to kill on the train every day though, I guess.

yeah, i only just started reading on the train this year. most of the time when i'm on the train i'm too sleepy or out of it and just want to listen to music. most of my reading is done before i go to bed, if i'm home i will read before sleeping without fail, even if it's just a few lines, i have to at least open the book.

Yeah i used to read a lot more when i was little and before the internet ruined my life. I remember in about year 7 dad said "you spend too much time on that computer. why don't you watch some tv or something?" haha. He thought i needed some balance in my life :P

i forgot to mention in that write-up that i also read a third of a book called 'my name is red' by Orhan Pamuk. I got distracted by other books, but i should really go back and read that sometime. I just find it hard to read books where the details matter, cos i'm usually half asleep when i read them.

i didn't really read that much til i started travelling... long plane/train/ferry rides with not much else to do... but now i love reading!!! nothing better than snuggling in bed with a good book, or lying in a park in the sun, spending hours on the beach lost in another world... you get the idea...

i'm currently reading city of god, cos it was the only book at athens airport in english i had any desire to read. took ages to get used to the style (i guess maybe cos it's translated from portuguese) but now i find it easier to read, but not something i can spend hours absorbed in, as it's a bit all over the place (that's why i'm still reading it 4 weeks later!!!)
